Neighbor Aid
The Good Samaritan Center is experiencing an
increased number of individuals coming into the Center
desperately needing utility assistance.
People in our community
are experiencing hard times through no fault of their
own. As you know, the unemployment number are
rising. Some families, including the elderly, are
being forced to make life threatening choices by having
to choose between paying their utility bills, buying
their prescription drugs or buying food. We at the
Good Samaritan Center want you to know that there is
something you can do to help.
This is where Neighbor
Aid can help. Through the generosity of the
Loudon Utilities Board and the Lenoir City Utilities
Board there is a program designed to help those who are
about to lose their electric service. This program
allows all of us to help. You can donate each
month when you pay your electric bill.
EACH DOLLAR THAT YOU
DONATE IS MATCHED BY THE UTILITY COMPANY.
Won't you please
consider giving by completing the
Enrollment Form?
Give whatever you feel you can - $1 per month, $5 per
month or more!
YOU CAN HELP MAKE A
DIFFERENCE!
Matching funds program
with Lenoir City Utilities and Loudon Utilities...
Members of our community designate an amount to be added
to their monthly utility bill for use by Good Samaritan
to assist Loudon County residents in paying their bills.
When we determine the need the funds are matched by the
respective Utility.
