Good Samaritan Volunteers

In the past several years GSC volunteers interviewed over 4000 folks and families and distributed over 2000 pounds of food. In 2009 our volunteers interviewed approximately 3,754 clients which resulted in the distribution of over 121,954 pounds of food consisting of over 1800 individual food orders.  Over 11,000 people in these families were helped.

These food items are handled by our pantry workers coming in and going out.  So with those figures in mind at the very least they lift, haul, pack and unpack over 240,000 pounds of food per year.  Please thank a Good Samaritan volunteer any time you get the opportunity.  They deserve it...

Modeled after the Bible Story

When I was hungry, you gave me something to eat; and when I was thirsty, you gave me something to drink.  When I was a stranger, you welcomed me; and when I was naked, you gave me clothes to wear.
